Since my early years as a child growing up in the desolate but beautiful Catskill mountains in upstate New York, I had always dreamed of moving to the big city in pursuit of a career in television. My journey would eventually indeed lead me there after earning my video production degree at Hofstra University. Fresh out of college, I was fortunate enough to be thrown right into the fire at Clear Channel Entertainment, where I helped produce a number of long-form documentaries for both CBS & A&E.
From here I would land my dream job as an editor/producer/shooter at Madison Square Garden. This path led me on an 8+ year ride that resulted in professional experiences that I will never forget. As a lifelong Knicks fan, it was a blessing to be one of the lead editors for the event presentation team, creating unique video content for both Knicks and Rangers fans alike. The situation was ideal. I would shoot every home game, and then get to use my own media, to create exciting features that would run inside the arena during the next game. As the years went by, I became deeply involved in creating content for not just the teams, but MSG's other entities as well. The Radio City Rockettes, MSG Entertainment Group, and Garden of Dreams Foundation were just a few areas where I became deeply rooted. Upon the completion of MSG's billion dollar renovation project, I decided it was time to challenge myself with my next venture.
NBC Sports in Stamford, Ct. was my newest home for a little under two years. It was here, where I became a seasoned writer and creative thinker as I brought unique ideas to life. My years at MSG allowed me to excel here as I had a firm grasp on multiple areas of video production. Good ideas were rewarded with generous budgets, and fortunately, I was able to create some award winning content during my tenure. I would propose to my fiance during this time and eventually felt the need to be closer to home as we planned for our wedding.
I took on my first role outside of sports as the senior producer/editor for the expanding digital team at CBS' Inside Edition. It was here where I was able to hone in on my skills not only as a producer, but as a team leader. As a founding member during the team's launch in 2015, our original core of 3 people ultimately flourished into a department of almost 30. The result? A top 20 Youtube property, garnering over 500 million video views per month. As the team leader, I was tasked with hiring and training freelancers, maintaining staff schedules and ensuring that our content was delivered on time and at a high level. Winning Emmy and NY Press Club awards was the cherry on top. It is there where I learned what it takes to secure audiences across various social media outlets as well as create client specific content.
Currently, I am a senior producer/writer for the sports brand marketing team at Peacock. My previous experiences have allowed me to truly flourish here, as every facet of my skillset has been able to be put on display. I've continued to push the creative envelope as not only a writer, but leader, successfully managing and mentoring my younger colleagues.
As my career moves forward, I continue to take pride in creating the best viewer experience that I possibly can. There is no bigger satisfaction for me than telling stories that truly makes a difference.
